We live in a treasure

I am a Mexican student. I live in Monterrey, Mexico, it is not a danger at many people think, it is danger but not as they draw our life in Monterrey. Nowadays Monterrey is in a time of corruption, but people can easily travel everywhere. There are also kind people, people that go to other cities in search of money to give food to their family, famous people, students and teenag-ers that go out with their friends and nothing happens.

I would not change my city, because I identify a lot with it, I know that nowadays it is so conflictive but I think, want and hope that in a few days everything will be like in the past without civil conflicts. Talking about Mexico, it has many beautiful landscapes from deserts to tropical places. We the Mexicans have the pleasure to live in a place with so many treasures, magic places and mountains that in not other part of the world exist or are possible to see with frequency. The city has plentiful of nature places that are so attractive where you can relax from you working life; it has states with many treasures such as Chiapas and Veracruz. Sometimes we the Mexicans think that it is better to take vacations out of the city, but we do not take the opportunity to visit and know the whole Mexico and the nature of the states.

The Mexican culture is rich in language, custom, traditions, different kinds of people, landscapes and artists. We have holidays where we celebrate children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, Independence of Mexico, etc. We have typical candies like wafers, caramel and candies made of caramel and milk. A typical food of Mexico are the tacos, there are many kinds of it and they are delicious with sauce. Mexico has been distinguished by the tequila, is very tradi-tional especially in Jalisco, Mexico.

I do not have too many words to describe what Mexico is, but it is a historical state with many treasures, bold people who fought for the Independence of Mexico and for a better place to live. A place that is having a bad time, now we're down, but I hope within a few years later we are going to be a city with order and with a good style of life.

A sweet baby

In this blog I am going to talk about my sweet, nice and wonderful granny named Francisca Pérez Castillo and of her most memorable day.

She was born in Tamaulipas, on October 2, 1944. She met a wonderful man in Monterrey named José Luis Reyna Pérez, they married on April 4, 1964. They had six children, four women and two men.

Last week I was talking with my granny by phone, she told me that her most memorable day was on May 4, 1965, when my aunt Mónica Reyna Pérez was born. The most important person of this memorable day was my aunt Mónica Reyna Pérez. There were involved my grandfather, my grandmother, the nurses and the doctors.

That day my grandmother was excited and happy of having her first baby, because it was her first experience. During the birth my grandfather was with my granny in the room, inclusive there were the doctors who helped to have a successful birth. She remembered when she was in the bed of the hospital, with whites and longs sheets, with the doctors and her nervous husband on a tall chair.

Few minutes later after the birth she was exhausted and tired, but at the same time happy, excited and desperate of seeing her baby. The only thing that she wanted was to see her baby alive. Suddenly, a nurse came into her room with a pretty, tender and small girl in her arms, she started to cry of happiness, she could not stop doing it, she and my grandfather were looking her pretty baby.

Their first baby changed a lot their life, because they could not do the same activities as when they were single or a few days ago when they were married but without children. From that day they knew that they should give to their baby love, understanding, education, food, clothing and to take care of the new family member.

She did not remember a specific scent of the moment, she only remembered a big pain. After that day she felt done as woman, person and wife, but she and my grandfather wanted to be parents of more children, so they had 5 more.

After this experience she learn how to be mother, how to feed a baby, to bathe it, to clean it, to educate it, to know when it is hungry, when it wants to go to the toilet; she told me that when a woman is mother she learn a lot of things, a lot that, now at days she is still learning about how to be a good mother.

At the end of our conversation she wanted to cry, because she remembered when my grandfather was with her, because now at days he is with God; she also told me that she would not change anything about her experience, because she thinks that being mother is the most fantastic thing of the whole life.

Hogwarts on the moon

Once upon a time there was a girl named Ana Karen. Since she was five years old, her dream was to go to the moon, but her family said that she was crazy. Ana Karen instead of giving up, she fought more to fulfill her dream.

One night she was in her house watching her favorite movie: Harry Potter, but she fell asleep in the middle of the movie. Suddenly, she appeared in Hogwarts, on a strange floor and on a place that smelt like cheese. She didn’t know where she was, so she asked a person, he said that she was on the moon. Ana Karen started to jump, because she was happy with the smell of cheese; suddenly she started to sink on the floor of cheese and she couldn't do anything. She woke up and she knew that it was only a dream.
